Spring Fever
Do you have spring fever? We have just what you need to feel better. We recommend taking a dip in our clear waters, resting alongside the beach and getting plenty of fresh, island air.
The Pensacola Bay Area is your spring-vacation destination. Visitors will now receive a free Visit Pensacola beach mat when they check into the Visit Pensacola Welcome Center using the foursquare app on their smart phone for the month of March.
Festivals and Deals
- Beulahfest – March 18-20. Enjoy some of Nashville's hottest country music stars, arts-and-crafts, carnival-style rides and of course, great sausage.
- Pensacola JazzFest – April 2-3. Pensacola’s historic Seville Square hosts an event filled with great jazz performed by local and national talents.
- 27th Annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival – April 29-May 1. Held along the waterfront downtown, indulge at one of the largest crawfish boils in Florida.

Explore the Outdoors
Are you feeling adventurous? Surf Perdido Key at sunset or take a dolphin tour from Santa Rosa Sound. Commune with nature – discover Blackwater River State Park, where you can kayak by day and camp by night. Don’t hesitate to dive right in – go snorkeling at the USS Oriskany, the world’s largest artificial reef.

Eat Lots of Seafood
For the perfect spring break experience, be sure to eat at the Oar House on scenic Bayou Chico, overlooking Bahia Mar Marina. They offer two full-service bars, one tiki-style bar, a dog-friendly deck, daily specials and a beach volleyball court. Their menu features shrimp, crab cakes, oysters, fish and steak filets.
Other popular seafood joints in the area include Fish House, Atlas Oyster House, Flounder’s Chowder House, Crabs, Wintzell’s Oyster House and The Grand Marlin.
